As fitness model personal trainer I love to inspire people and show them what can be achieved with a healthy dose of determination. In my childhood I was an unlikely candidate to ever win trophies due to my health issues. I didn’t let that discourage me. I made a commitment to become the best version of myself way before I embarked on this journey in fitness and modelling.
I have been very lucky to work with some some amazing fitness and fashion photographers over the last few years. I was hired to be the sole male model of clothing brand “Vaide” for the catalogues of their 2013 and 2014 collection. I have also participated in a few runway shows, modelling for designers including Bershka, Anoosh, Paulina Palian, Tony Q'Aja and a fast growing underwear brand Pants to Poverty. TV appearences include "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross", “The Graham Norton Show”, “This Morning", "Angela & Friends", Burgerking commercial, Mentos commercial, and a music video by Outlaw Candy. You can also see me in online adverts for Durex and Zaggora.
In September 2010 I entered my first fitness model competition Model Britain Championships organised by Musclemania and placed a respectable 3rd. Since then Ru has also been shortlisted for World Sports Model and UK Best Male Model competitions, and acquired several 2nd places until finally getting my first win at Miami Pro European placing 1st in my category and taking the overall fitness model title.
In order to keep stepping up the ladder in fitness modelling, I started competing with WBFF in 2013, and after coming very close to the top spot a few times, I won WBFF Miami in November 2014, and acquired WBFF fitness model pro card. In 2015 I'm looking to compete in WBFF London as a pro, and to keep working with internationally recognized photographers, so watch out for me on the UK physique and modelling scene, and follow my journey on the way to the top.
